Our client is looking for a Membership Services Administrator to join their friendly, small team on a temporary basis to provide maternity cover. This is a varied, customer-facing role at the heart of a national sporting membership organisation.
35 hours per week – 9am-5pm with flexibility in terms of earlier finish / shorter lunch
4 months Maternity Cover
You’ll play a key role in supporting their members, clubs and centres, maintaining accurate membership records and delivering excellent customer service. You’ll also be involved in the rollout and ongoing support of a new cloud-based membership platform, helping to ensure a smooth transition for our members.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Administration & Customer Service
* Support the rollout and ongoing use of a new cloud-based membership system
* Process new memberships, renewals and payments (including direct debits) accurately
* Respond to member and club enquiries by phone and email
* Make outbound sales and renewal calls and advise on membership benefits
* Liaise with club secretaries and centre managers regarding renewals
General & Administrative Support
* Provide efficient front-line administrative support within a small team
* Maintain accurate membership records and database information
* Assist with general correspondence, meetings, events and document preparation
* Produce reports and data queries from the membership system
* Provide cover and administrative support to the Operations Manager and wider team as required
Key attributes
* We’re looking for someone who is organised, confident and proactive, with a strong customer service mindset and excellent attention to detail.
* Experience in a similar administrative or membership role, ideally within a small organisation, voluntary sector or sporting environment
* Strong experience using CRM or membership systems
* Excellent data processing and IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
* Confident telephone manner and strong written communication skills
* A numerate approach, with basic knowledge of accounting processes
* The ability to work independently and as part of a small, busy team
