Are you a proactive, hands-on Health & Safety professional ready to take ownership of a group-wide safety culture? We're seeking an experienced H&S Manager to lead and continuously improve our health, safety, quality, and compliance standards across all our sites and offices.
In this pivotal role, you'll conduct site audits, drive corrective action plans, and champion best practices in risk management, COSHH control, and ISO compliance (45001, 9001, 14001, 27001). You'll play a key part in delivering Toolbox Talks, supporting training, and ensuring our workforce and partners meet the highest safety standards. Reporting directly to the Group CISO, you'll collaborate with the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team to embed a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. If you hold a NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma, Fire Safety Certificate, and have proven experience leading H&S initiatives across multiple sites, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities and Duties
To further develop our health, safety, quality and compliance procedures and processes
To implement and carry out on site safety audits across the Group
Provide feedback from site audits and follow up action plans
Assist with Toolbox Talks and Training
Supporting Certification and associated 3rd party audits
Assist in the writing of risk assessments and method statements
To work with all sub-contractors and suppliers to make sure they meet our requirements for the business.
Support the Managing Director and Senior Management Team (SLT)
Ensuring that all accidents, incidents and near miss are investigated, reported and recorded
Produce accurate reports in a timely manner as required
Arrange and carry out emergency evacuation drills, (fire drills)
Monitor and correct non-compliance issues across the business
Manage and support Group first aiders and fire marshals
Take full responsibility for managing COSHH within the company, and mitigate risks
Who you are
Experience of working in a similar H&S role
Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of current regulations
Able to communicate to stakeholders effectively
NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Qualified
NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety Qualified
ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO 27001 implementer/auditor
Have a full UK driver's licence with a maximum of 3 points
Have a clear DBS check to enable site visits

Other information about the role
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Hours: 40 per week; Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Location: Lancing with hybrid flexibilities after probation period.
There is free onsite parking. The office dress code is smart casual.
