WEAVERS PAISLEY are seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager
Our ideal candidate would possess inspiring leadership qualities with an extensive background in volume bar and food operations.
As General Manager you will provide day-to-day leadership and direction by driving development of your employees, creating and maintaining a unique customer experience, and building awareness of your venue in the local community and beyond.
The General Manager will be key to driving sales and profitability and maintain effective expense and payroll budget management. They will also ensure compliance with effective stock management and all company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for all financials, spotting avenues for revenue growth including developing a rolling calendar of events and menu development.
* Directly supervises and actively manages all Department Managers. Provides motivation, support, encouragement, and direction to all members of all departments.
* In consultation with their management team, sets departmental objectives for the fiscal year. Evaluates performance of those managers against these objectives.
* Assist in creating a positive team-oriented environment which focuses on the customer, through employee development and motivation.
* Collaborates with the Head office team to develop long-range marketing and sales approach. Stays informed on general business practices as well as the hospitality industry.
* Participates in the interviewing, hiring, performance evaluation, discipline, and termination of all staff. Schedules all managers to ensure appropriate leadership in the building as well as assisting with line-level scheduling as needed.
* Oversees the smooth operation of all bar and restaurant operations.
* Works with their Head Chef and Head office team to develop and maintain menus, including pricing of the food and beverage product, and maintaining a high standard for quality.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Management experience of volume bar & restaurant operations.
* Ability to successfully supervise, coach, and motivate up large teams.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
* Understanding of budgets, wage costing and financial forecasting.
* Position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and/or bank holidays.
* Personal License preferred.
