Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for a range of administrative procedures within the branch including: answering the telephone, preparing and depositing takings, completing bank books, managing the petty cash float, processing goods inwards paperwork, dealing with customer and supplier invoice queries, maintaining the customer database, ordering stationery and workwear uniforms, handling incoming and outgoing post, filing, and other general branch tasks as required.
You will also support our sales team by: dealing with customers face-to-face, providing excellent customer service, offering quotations, purchasing materials, and managing stock levels for the category. The working hours are Monday to Friday with flexible hours.
Qualifications and Skills
Previous administrative experience, good IT skills (including Microsoft Office programs like Excel and Outlook), attention to detail, high organization, confident and friendly personality, and good customer service skills are essential. Builders’ merchant experience is advantageous but not necessary.
