Your Role
As a Finning Engineer, you will:
* Respond to customer field repair and service requests, diagnosing issues and providing detailed information for quotes.
* Estimate arrival times based on job instructions and communicate effectively with customers.
* Diagnose equipment problems using specialized tools and collaborate with customer operators to provide accurate information.
* Identify required parts for repairs and manage requisitioning to ensure timely service.
* Perform repair and service work on a variety of Caterpillar engines and generators.
What You Need
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A valid LDV driving license.
* Formal training (NVQ Level 3 preferred) and significant experience as a service engineer or equivalent.
* Experience with a variety of gas and diesel engines and generators (both LV and HV).
* Knowledge of field-based diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Experience with assembly and disassembly of diesel engines and components, particularly Caterpillar large engines (e.g., 3400, 3500, 3600 series).
