Aaban Partnership Ltd provides specialist mental health services for young people with complex needs using a trauma informed care model. Based in Oswaldtwistle, the organization operates two bespoke ten-bedded units offering assessment, stabilization, treatment, and intervention. Aaban Partnership Ltd also offers bespoke solo placements and semi independant flats. The multidisciplinary team, comprising nurses, consultant psychiatrists, and clinical psychologists, is dedicated to delivering high-quality care and tailored treatment plans.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Healthcare Support Worker based in Oswaldtwistle. The Healthcare Support Worker will assist young individuals with their daily living tasks, including providing emotional support and addressing their mental health needs. The role involves closely monitoring individuals, assisting the clinical team in implementing treatment plans, and ensuring their safety and wellbeing. In addition, the Healthcare Support Worker will aid in fostering independence and providing a safe and supportive environment for young people.
Qualifications
* Experience as a Support Worker and commitment to supporting individuals with complex mental health needs.
* Strong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with young people and colleagues.
* Knowledge and application of Safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of individuals under care.
* Excellent Communication skills, including active listening and clear, compassionate dialogue.
* Basic Technical Support knowledge to assist in maintaining care records and using relevant systems effectively.
* A positive and empathetic attitude, with a focus on encouraging independence and quality of life.
* Qualifications in health or social care and experience working with young people are advantageous.
