Our client, a rapidly growing company in the energy reduction sector, is looking for a hands-on and reliable Accounts Assistant to join their team in Stockport. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong purchase and sales ledger experience who is also happy to support wider administrative and operational tasks. Key Responsibilities * Take ownership of the purchase ledger: processing supplier invoices, reconciling accounts, and managing payments * Handle all aspects of the sales ledger: raising and issuing invoices, allocating payments, and chasing outstanding debts * Assist with day-to-day finance admin including data input, document management, and bank reconciliations * Support the purchase ledger process for stock and materials, including ordering cable and other items for the installation team * Help maintain accurate sales ledger records and assist in preparing financial information for month-end reporting * Provide general administrative support and ad-hoc assistance across the team as required What We’re Looking For * Proven experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role * Solid understanding of purchase and sales ledger functions * Proficiency in Xero accounting software * High attention to detail and strong organisational skills * A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude * Experience in purchasing or working with operational teams is a plus What’s on Offer * Salary of £28,000 – £32,000 depending on experience * Quarterly bonus * A varied role in a growing and supportive business * Free on-site parking * Opportunities for growth and development APPLY NOW
