* Drive cost performance: deliver annual cost‑savings/Purchase Price Variance targets, implement value‑engineering, and maintain a visible savings pipeline tied to projects.
* Manage suppliers: implement scorecards (on time delivery, quality, responsiveness), escalate recovery plans, and execute corrective actions/RMAs for non‑conformance.

* Develop and execute long‑term category strategies to improve cost, quality, delivery, service, and supply assurance; monitor market trends to inform sourcing decisions.
* Collaborate with Engineering on technical reviews, manufacturability, and alternates; build product/process knowledge via workshops, shop floor/plant visits, and benchmarking.
* Optimize working capital: align order quantities, lead times, and delivery plans to inventory and cash objectives; support accurate promises to the project team.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable trade requirements (e.g., import/export documentation, country‑of‑origin).
* Share best practices with SCM teams across business units to standardize processes and tools.
