Elevation Senior Finance are working with a leading payment solutions business based in Leeds, that are looking to bring in a Management Accountant into their team on a permanent, full time basis.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager and the rest of the finance team and be responsible for assisting in delivering the finance team’s goals as well as getting involved in projects to drive the team forward as they navigate through a period of sustained growth.
Hybrid working - 3 Days from home
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Management Accountant duties & responsibilities include:
1. Preparation of timely monthly management accounts for three individual companies, including supporting analysis
2. Support finance transactional team with month end routines including reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
3. Assist FM with preparing rolling forecasts
4. Assist with process improvements and ensuring compliance with company policy and procedures
5. Assist with intercompany invoicing and reconciliation
6. Overseeing the VAT process and submissions to both HMRC and Irish Revenue
7. Prepare weekly payment runs for three purchase ledgers
8. Manage Debtors alongside other finance team members
9. Cash forecasting / Margin analysis
10. Preparing Sales commission statements
11. Pricing profitability analysis
12. General Finance duties and analysis
13. Supervise and support a finance team of three
14. Assist in preparation of annual accounts and financial audits
Key Skills & Experience required:
15. Previous experience of working in financial payments environment will be a significant advantage
16. Experience of supervising a finance team on a day to day basis
17. Accounting qualifications are essential – preferably CIMA
18. Strong analytical and numerical skills
19. Experience of Sage 50, Xero or similar accounting systems
20. Solid Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams etc) including essential intermediate/ advanced Excel skills
