JOB TITLE: Security Officer - CCTV
LOCATION: Corn Exchange, M4 3TR
HOURS: 42 hours per week
SHIFT PATTERN: Four on Four off
PAY RATE: £11.56 per hour
OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION
Security Officer will ensure exemplary standards of Security and Customer Service are always provided to the client and visitors to the site. The role will be the public face of the Security Team and should always act with professionalism. A can-do attitude is essential in this highly influential role.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
· For our CCTV controller roles, we require CCTV certification. The role of the CCTV Controller is varied, you are required to be adaptable to the centre and the clients needs. Over view of duties needed to be performed:
To maintain, monitor, accurately record and report all instances of note.
Undertake fire system testing, maintain and record all centre safety systems including, fire systems and intruder alarms.
Comply with the data protection act and ensure that the only authorised persons are permitted on site, and all sensitive information remains controlled.
To maintain the appropriate and optimum usage of the CCTV system.
· Be an ambassador of the site delivering first class guest focussed service each time.
· Works as a team player in meeting guest needs and actively contributing to the efforts of all departments.
· Carry out regular patrols of the centre as detailed in the site assignment Instructions, being always proactive.
· Continuously look for opportunities to be of assistance to visitors at the centre, proactively helping wherever opportunities arise.
· Ensuring all incidents are managed in accordance with site policies and procedures.
· Liaising with site control room proactively reacting to incidents and ensuring colleagues are fully briefed and always supported.
· Intelligent understanding of human behaviour, monitoring and surveillance of suspect individuals, logging, and reporting incidents in line with site/company polices.
· Maintain vigilance and highlight/manage unauthorised access by banned individuals.
· Ensure radio procedures are always adhered to.
· Liaise closely with the Environmental Services team delivering one service and highlight opportunities in working as one team.

· Excellent organisational skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and workloads.
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· To be confident at work.
· Able to remain calm under pressure.
· Adaptable and flexible in approach to work required.
· Excellent observational skills.
Qualifications:
· Must meet all requirements to receive required SIA badges (if applicable), including successful completion of a background check and 5-year work history. Training will be provided if required.
· For our security officer roles, we require a Door Supervisor or Security Guard badge. We offer upskilling and additional training.
