Overview

Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets (MRS-GM) is seeking a Project Manager to be based in Manchester (Hybrid working 2-3 days). Lead change and transformation initiatives within our Global Change Portfolio. This role is crucial to leading and ensuring the successful delivery of initiatives across change, growth and transformation.

Responsibilities

* Project Ownership: Lead, drive and be responsible for project delivery.
* Define project scope and objectives: Collaborate with stakeholders to articulate the scope, objectives and desired outcomes.
* Project Planning: Maintain a clear project/programme plan detailing tasks, timelines, resources, and milestones.
* Manage resources: Evaluate and allocate resources across the portfolio, working with stakeholders to ensure effective utilization.
* Budget management: Monitor and review project budgets in collaboration with the project sponsor.
* Assess the change impact: Conduct impact analyses, assess readiness, and identify key stakeholders.
* Communication: Communicate clearly and transparently; coordinate with external parties (Claims TPA’s, fronting companies, and other Munich Re entities) to support design, development, delivery and management of key communications.
* Risk management: Identify, document and manage risks, issues and dependencies; implement mitigation plans.
* Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication among team members and stakeholders; prepare and moderate workshops and meetings with senior management and subject-matter experts.
* Monitor, control and report progress: Track project progress and take corrective actions to stay on track.
* Quality assurance: Ensure project outputs meet quality standards and governance requirements.


Required Knowledge, Skills And Experience

* Experience managing complex business, change or transformational projects with responsibility for core delivery.
* Strong Insurance Industry knowledge, including understanding of the London Market.
* Experience working within specialty insurance markets.
* Understanding of Project Management Methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, hybrid).
* Ability to thrive in a changing environment; strong stakeholder management and ability to drive executive-level decisions.
* Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with actionable recommendations.
* Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and adaptability to change.
* Clear presenting skills with the ability to balance big-picture and detail-oriented work.
* Resilience to manage business change or adversity.
* Knowledge of business analysis techniques and processes; awareness of data security and privacy across insurance products.
