Proposition Development Intern

About the Role
We are seeking commercially astute intern to join our Your McCarthy Stone Commercial Team on an 8-week summer internship programme.
McCarthy Stone’s internship programme will provide you with an excellent experience where you will gain industry and field-related skills and experience, while earning a competitive salary. Taking part in our programme will boost your CV and will ensure you have a deep understanding of our business, the industry that we operate in and an insight into our customers.
During your summer internship within the Commercial Team, you will be asked to deliver a comprehensive piece of market research to support development of our Partnership Strategy.
Supported by the Head of Proposition Development, you will own the project from brief to delivery of partnership recommendation. You will have an opportunity to visit some of our retirement living developments and work with other stakeholders across the business, such as Operations and Sales & Marketing, as well as independently, to capture your findings and formulate the partnership proposal.
You will also be given an opportunity to hone your presentation skills, both in preparation of the materials, as well as presenting to an audience of senior business stakeholders.
Alongside your role, you will be part of a cohort of interns which will instantly enable you to start building your internal network at McCarthy Stone. There will also be a series of Learning & Development opportunities to get involved in throughout your journey with us including insight and skills sessions, and lunch and learns on key business topics.
Please note that this role will require working from our Bournemouth office on a hybrid basis.
About You
Education and Qualifications
1. Studying towards a degree in Business Management, Marketing, Social Studies, on target for a minimum of a 2:2
2. Other related degrees will also be considered.
3. Previous experience in customer service or service delivery would be advantageous but not necessary.
