Role Overview
We are looking for a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen. You will be responsible for all aspects of kitchen management from menu creation to cost control and team leadership. This is a hands on role that requires creativity high standards and the ability to work closely with the Front of House team to ensure our guests enjoy a consistently excellent experience.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Leadership and Team Development
* Manage daily kitchen operations with a focus on smooth service and consistency
* Recruit train mentor and develop the kitchen team
* Create staff rotas and ensure effective scheduling
Menu Development and Delivery
* Design and deliver seasonal menus that reflect our coastal location and customer preferences
* Cook and oversee the preparation of dishes to the highest standard
* Keep menus fresh and appealing while managing costs
Compliance and Safety
* Maintain the highest standards of food safety hygiene and health and safety procedures
* Ensure kitchen cleanliness and compliance with all inspections and regulations
Financial and Business Controls
* Monitor food and labour costs to meet budget targets
* Control portions reduce waste and maximise profitability
Communication and Collaboration
* Work closely with the Front of House team to ensure smooth coordination and service
* Build positive relationships with suppliers and manage ordering and stock control
Experience and Skills Required
* At least three years experience as a Head Chef in a similar busy fresh food environment
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proven ability to manage food and wage costs effectively
* Creative approach to menu planning with an understanding of what customers want

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
