Role Overview
Act Up, Secondment, or Fixed Term Contract opportunity for Birmingham Council employees. 6‑month Fixed Term Contract for non‑Birmingham Council employees. Grade A – £24,796 to £27,254. Consultation grade – subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review. Working 36.5 hours per week.
As an HR Investigations Coordinator, you will provide essential administrative and logistical support to the Employee Relations Investigations team. You will coordinate interviews, hearings and case activity that underpin fair and timely outcomes, ensuring employee relations cases run smoothly, efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinating interviews and hearings – organising logistics, scheduling participants and ensuring smooth case progression.
* Managing case documentation – collating, distributing and securely storing all relevant papers.
* Recording meetings and hearings – capturing accurate, professional notes to support decision‑making.
* Maintaining case records and databases – tracking deadlines, next steps and progress updates.
* Acting as a key point of contact – providing timely updates and coordinating with employees, managers, Employee Relations colleagues and trade union representatives.
* Supporting process improvements – suggesting enhancements to administrative and case‑management workflows.
