Sugarman Health and Wellbeing are seeking a Care Assistant to support a Service User with Clinical Care needs in their own home, based in the Halifax Area. Our patient is male with acquired complex conditions such as C2 Spinal Injury, tracheostomy and fully dependent on ventilation as well as other clinical requirements. Full clinical training will be provided.
We are recruiting individuals with Excellent interpersonal skills, resiliency, a strong character, good with animals, willing to go on holidays with Service User, flexible for day & night shifts and an eagerness to make a real difference in someone's life are all key to being successful in this role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for care professionals with an interest in specific complex conditions who want to develop their skills and knowledge whilst gaining experience.

Shifts Available: 0700-1900 Days & 1900-0700 Nights

Main Responsibilities of a Health Care Assistant
Support a client with a spinal injury, tracheostomy and ventilator
Flexible in working both days and nights over a 4 weekly Rota period
Support them with their full-time job. Making and answering telephone calls, drafting emails, and letters, diary organising and taking notes in meetings (ability to use Apple devices)
Moving and Handling
Personal Care
Prepping and cooking meals
Supporting and maintaining all clinical needs
Supporting with organising and attending holidays abroad and creating itineraries

Experience/Skills Required for this Health Care Assistant role:
Minimum 1 year's experience in care
Willingness to undertake online and practical training
Effective communication skills
Ability to handle clinical care in the community
Attention to detail
Positive attitude
