INTERVENTIONS OFFICER ​ BIRMINGHAM CITY FOOTBALL CLUB FOUNDATION - Transforming the city through the power of football. ​ Join us during an exciting period of growth and transformation as Birmingham City FC continues to attract world’s media. The Foundation uses the power of football and sport to help to transform the lives of tens of thousands of people in our city, ensuring our community grows in lockstep with the football club. We are “ more than football ”. ​ Are you passionate about inspiring young people to dream big, aim high and overcome obstacles? ​ We are seeking an experienced, passionate and creative individual to join our team in delivering our high quality intervention programmes as part of the work that the Foundation does within our partner schools to enhance the positive impact for young people. You will be responsible for delivering a variety of workshops, sessions and lessons to meet the needs of students in our partner schools. Mentoring is a key part of the programme, and we show young people that they can dream big, aim high and overcome obstacles. ​ Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver inspiring, interactive and engaging sessions for young people which allow for development and meeting individual needs. Provide a safe and fun environment for young people to meet new friends, develop skills, improve their mental and physical well-being and promote personal development. Ensure that safeguarding is at the heart of all work, applying best practices and policies in all aspects of student support and sessions including registers, medical needs and additional support is reviewed prior to each session and adaptations made where required. Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with young people, engaging them in activities that promote personal and social development. Conduct 1:1 and small group interventions and activities with individuals, identifying their needs through assessment and tailoring sessions to support them whilst managing behaviour.
