Community Connector Location: covering the Belfast and Antrim area Contract: Fixed term to 31st March 2026 Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (flexible) with occasional weekend working Salary £23,590 per annum pro-rata Driving: Full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of 2 years and access to a vehicle (Business mileage reimbursed) We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and proactive individual to join our Health and Care Team as a Community Connector. This role would suit someone who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and has knowledge of how Health and Social Care services work. It's for someone who can lead and motivate people to address their issues with loneliness. The Community Connector will work together with a range of people who are already using BRC services as well as new service users. A day in the life of a Community Connector will involve; Being responsible for liaising with partnership agencies to support people affected by social isolation and loneliness to access services in order to reconnect with their communities. Working with volunteers, a range of third sector and statutory services to engage, signpost and refer people for support. This may include working with a range of statutory, third sector and community-based services. Engaging face-to-face with service users to identify specific needs and appropriate interventions. You may also engage in conversations via telephone and zoom. Ensuring that the service is efficient, reliable and delivered consistently with national and local guidelines, using the Quality Standards Framework as a basis for assessment. Providing guidance and support to the volunteers who work within the service, communicating on a regular basis with them and ensure they complete relevant paperwork following a visit. To be a successful Community Connector you'll need; Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative. Able to plan own workload. Local knowledge of the area. Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent by experience) You have excellent IT skills - you're comfortable working with Microsoft Office packages and can learn bespoke company software with ease. Understand how to improve service quality for the benefit of users. Willingness to work flexible hours. Ability to drive (with own transport) and willingness to go out into the community for meeting and networking opportunities. Full driving license holder (for over 2 years).
