We are recruiting for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our HR team based in Birmingham. We have a flexible hybrid working approach, meaning the role will be a combination of office/ home working.
Within this role, you will be supporting line managers with ER matters, providing advice, guidance and resolutions to difficult situations and employee relations cases, ensuring that National Highways are legally protected and comply with policies and procedures. You will also be working with Senior HRBPs to embed ER initiatives and enable people managers to take ownership of all people and ER activities.
* Leading on a variety of escalated ER cases and issues, using your knowledge in Employee Relations and employment law.
* Contribute to the review and delivery of ER policies, materials and guidance to support the delivery of ER services.
* Managing multiple ER cases, using and updating the case management system effectively, from receipt of a case through to its conclusion or escalate accordingly.
* Work collaboratively with people managers, broadening their capability by supporting employee relations cases to ensure consistent application of HR policies and processed across the business. As a HR Senior Advisor - Employee Relations will be expected to deliver a high quality, customer and business focused and professional advice on all Employee Relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance, attendance cases and ER concerns.
* Working collaboratively with Senior HRBP's by coaching and mentoring people managers, helping them understand how best to deliver Employee Relations services to all employees.
About you.
* Qualified up to Level 5 CIPD.
* End-to-end Core HR and ER Casework experience.
* Up to date knowledge of employment laws.
* Knowledge of governance guidelines, compliance and regulatory requirements.
* Excellent communication, advisory and coaching skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with people managers and employees within the business.
