Key Responsibilities
As a Business Development Manager, you will take full ownership of the sales cycle, from prospecting to closing. Your key tasks will include:
New sector development: Expanding the company's Local Gov sector footprint. Being the first full time recruit, building out the client base with the possibility of developing a team as you grow.
Market Research : Conduct in-depth research into target organizations to uncover their strategic challenges, market trends, and opportunities.
Solution Selling : Use your understanding of the companys innovative solutions to build meaningful client relationships and effectively communicate ROI.
Executive Engagement : Present and demonstrate solutions to senior executives, building strong connections with key decision-makers across organizations.
Negotiation : Manage complex negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for both clients and the company.
What We're Looking For
To excel in this role, youll need:
A few years of B2B SaaS sales experience, with a proven record of meeting or exceeding targets.
Experience selling into the local government sector.
Expertise in tender management and delivery.
Strong sales skills across the entire cycle: cold calling, demonstrations, qualification, proposals, negotiations, and closing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a driven, goal-oriented mindset.
Experience using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
The ability to work under pressure while maintaining a diligent and consistent work ethic.
Confidence engaging with C-level executives and navigating multi-level sales processes.
