Norfolk County Council’s Information Governance Service is seeking a competent, resilient, well-organized, and self-motivated individual to join as an Information Governance Assistant. The role involves providing efficient administrative support across the service.
The Information Governance Service manages the handling and sharing of information and data held by the Council, including investigating formal complaints and representations.
As an Information Governance Assistant, you will support a small central team of 30 staff, requiring flexibility across various tasks such as monitoring mailboxes, logging and allocating work, managing physical and electronic files, and other support functions to ensure effective service delivery.
Effective communication skills at all levels and an adaptable approach are essential. Knowledge of safeguarding, legal frameworks related to data handling, or experience with complaints would be advantageous but are not mandatory.
Many roles are primarily remote, supporting Norfolk County Council’s Smarter Working plans, with some office-based work at County Hall, Norwich. Good broadband connectivity is required.
