The Opportunity: We are seeking highly experienced and motivated Delivery Managers to join the Sizewell C delivery team. This is a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning) of key Systems, Structures, and Components (SSCs). You will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of project delivery are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will also discharge Principal Contractor duties in accordance with CDM Regulations (2015) and the Project’s Area Management Strategy. Experience of working on Civil Engineering Projects as a PC or Client – Experience of heavy civils (Ground works / Earthworks / Infrastructure) is essential. Key Areas of Focus Site Delivery – Sub Programme Area : Support the Area Delivery Manager in delivering scope to cost, schedule, and quality. HSEQ Delivery : Ensure all delivery aligns with SZC standards and industry best practices. Area Management : Plan, manage, and monitor work, ensuring pre-construction planning is integrated and logistics are in place. Principal Accountabilities Define work scope and manage interfaces across the programme. Execute strategies aligned with the Programme Execution Plan (PEP). Maintain effective communication with stakeholders. Drive safe and timely delivery of contract/package activities. Track progress, manage risks, and report to leadership. Ensure alignment with the overall project schedule and escalate discrepancies. Deliver the List of Deliverables (LOD) for your scope. Promote continuous improvement and knowledge capture. Interface with other programmes to adopt best practices. Fulfil all contractual obligations and maintain strong team relationships. Nuclear Safety Responsibilities This role will, in time, hold nuclear safety responsibilities as defined in the Nuclear Baseline What We’re Looking For Essential Experience & Skills Proven track record managing large-scale civil infrastructure or energy projects (£50m–£100m). Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills. Experience in: Engineering design, contract, and field execution strategies. Multi-discipline EPCM projects. Procurement and management of complex contracts. Cost, risk, schedule, and change control using Earned Value tools. Proficiency in scheduling and risk management tools. Experience with NEC contracts and managing contractors in regulated environments. Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations. Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills. Qualifications Degree in engineering, construction, or a related field. Chartered status (desirable). Understanding of nuclear quality assurance and graded quality approaches.
