About The Role
In your role as a Unit Manager at HC-One, you'll value one thing above all: kindness. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person working here understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories. By joining us, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to those people.
As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for a specific part of the home and delivering the highest level of care. You will also run the entire home when the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager are absent. Whether reporting mobility issues, requesting samples for monitoring, or administering medication, you will always prioritize resident dignity and well-being.
We are passionate about ensuring our current and future colleagues can be their true selves, and that our workforce reflects the communities we serve. We prioritize inclusive working practices and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
We aim to provide an excellent working experience, with a quick turnaround from job offer to start date.
This role involves working 3 shifts on, 3 shifts off on a rotational basis.
About You
You will have proven leadership skills in a care home for vulnerable adults. Beyond that, your positive energy and ability to get along with people are essential. This role requires taking real accountability. When communicating with residents or colleagues, you will be considerate and kind.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. Attendance at safeguarding training is required, along with the ability to seek advice and escalate concerns if necessary.
