Job Description:
Active Care Group’s Care in the Home division continues to grow, providing safe, reliable, and outcome-based care to clients through our support workers, clinicians, and management team.
Are you a clinician tired of long shifts and seeking better work-life balance?
We are expanding our team and looking for an experienced Clinical Manager to join our Care in the Home division, where we employ Nurses as Clinical Managers.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a division with ambitious growth plans, supporting children, young people, and adults with conditions such as brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological and neurodegenerative diseases, respiratory and gastrointestinal conditions, including PEG feeding.
We seek someone with strong clinical skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for teaching and mentoring, working closely with a team of professionals to support individuals with complex needs in their homes.
Please note: We cannot sponsor candidates requiring a UK work visa.
Work Schedule:
* Monday - Friday, with on-call duties for emergencies
* Home-based with regional travel (Chester, Llanfairfechan, Cyfflliog, Ruthin, Saughall, Flint, Liverpool, Preston)
Responsibilities include:
* Providing competency-based clinical training for clients with complex needs
* Delegating clinical skills to Support Workers and Care Managers with proper training and assessments
* Updating and maintaining Personal Care Plans in line with company protocols
* Conducting annual observations and competency assessments of staff
* Ensuring all staff competencies are current
* Handling safeguarding issues calmly and accurately
* Communicating regularly with ICBs and care funders
* Collaborating with scheduling and care teams to manage risks
* Auditing records and MAR charts monthly
* Visiting clients to teach competencies and address issues
* Maintaining accurate documentation
* Monitoring staff wellbeing, especially lone workers, and conducting risk assessments
* Applying lateral thinking and strategic oversight in complex care scenarios
Qualifications and Skills:
* Current NMC Pin registration (Dual RN/RSCN or Adult Nurse with recent pediatric experience)
* Legal right to work in the UK
* Full driving license and own vehicle
* Experience with vents, bowel and bladder management, tracheostomy, catheterization, epilepsy, blood glucose monitoring, NIVs, nebulizers, PEG, challenging behavior, ADHD, and autism
