National Account Manager - Business Development
We are looking for an experienced National Accounts Manager to manage the sales process for forklift trucks and other material handling equipment for national customers.
About the Role
The role involves selling materials handling solutions and delivering excellent customer service to large national businesses. On a day‑to‑day basis you will:
* Develop new business and expand existing accounts individually or alongside a colleague.
* Ensure selected accounts are visited regularly and developed to increase sales and revenues.
* Use CRM and IT systems to maximise performance.
* Develop strategic account plans for key businesses to retain and win new business.
* Work closely with other internal departments (logistics solutions, hand pallet trucks and short‑term hire) to develop business with target accounts.
Qualifications
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Good team‑working skills.
* Strong organisation and planning ability.
* Effective time‑management skills.
* Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to meet deadlines.
