PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £41,500 - £45,500 plus £5,441 London Weighting, depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
BBC Extend
This role is advertised as part of our BBC Extend programme for disabled people. Purpose of the Role
This role will develop and execute digital content, ensuring that it achieves the highest creative and editorial standards, delivers on time, with adherence to BBC guidelines.
You will be responsible for delivering a broad range of digital content providing high-end editing and expertise in post-production workflows for multiple genres and brands. Primarily an execution role, the Digital Creative Editor will have advanced experience in Premiere Pro, After Effects and the wider Adobe suite.
The Digital Creative Editor will be pivotal in idea generation and conceptual thinking, contributing ideas and creative solutions under the direction of a Senior Digital Producer

Your Key Responsibilities and Impact
* Manage end-to-end post production (editing, grade, motion graphics, sound design, optimisation and delivery) to deliver high-quality short and long-form digital content across multiple platforms.
* Apply strong editorial judgment, escalating issues where needed, and ensuring all content meets creative, technical and platform-specific standards.
* Develop ideas from concept to final output, contributing creative solutions, trend insights and clear communication of creative direction to teams and stakeholders.
* Respond to briefs with content that is optimised for the intended platform and aligned with agreed objectives.
* Collaborate effectively across teams, maintaining excellent organisation, workflow management, file management and timely delivery.
* Build strong relationships across the wider department, contributing positively to team culture, skill sharing, training and ad hoc projects.
* Support creative development across the team by contributing to ideation, evaluating concepts and assisting the Senior Digital Producer with post production scoping and admin.
Essential Criteria
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Advanced editing and motion graphics skills in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and strong capability across the wider Adobe Creative Suite.
* Strong post‑production expertise including grading, sound design, media management, and the technical judgment to uphold high creative/editorial standards.
* Proven ability to generate multi‑platform digital and social concepts, contributing effectively to pre‑production with an understanding of how post influences shoot decisions.
* Solid experience working in digital and social content, with an active interest in emerging trends and a commitment to evolving your skills as the landscape changes.
* Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and editorial judgment, especially when working to tight deadlines in fast‑turnaround environments.
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills, able to juggle multiple workstreams, prioritise effectively and adapt quickly to change.
* A collaborative, resilient team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a willingness to innovate and experiment creatively.
Desirable (But Not Required)
* Experience on shoots with a willingness to learn and develop, including camera operation/assistance, handling kit and ingest and data management.
* Strong design credentials.
* Experience in mentoring junior team members, supporting growth, development and technical skillset.
