The Role
This is a comprehensive role that sees projects through from workshop creation to final installation. You will be responsible for the technical execution of our designs, ensuring every component is crafted and fitted to exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Workshop Fabrication: Precisely interpret technical drawings and CAD plans to set out, machine, and assemble a diverse range of bespoke items, including kitchen cabinetry, media units, and wardrobes.
* Material Expertise: Work with accuracy and confidence across a range of premium materials, including solid timbers, veneers, and high-quality laminates, ensuring perfect scribing, jointing, and finishing.
* Component Assembly: Build complex cabinetry and furniture, integrating high-quality hardware such as hinges, drawer runners, and handles to ensure smooth and perfect functionality.
* On-Site Installation: Take ownership of the project on-site by skilfully fitting the joinery you have built. This requires meticulous attention to detail, perfect alignment, and seamless integration to deliver a flawless final product for our clients.
About You
You are a meticulous and passionate joiner with a deep appreciation for the art of woodworking. You have a keen eye for design and the technical skill to execute it perfectly.
Essential Skills & Qualities:
* Proven experience as a Bench Joiner or Cabinet Maker, with a portfolio showcasing high-quality work.
* Exceptional hands-on woodworking skills across cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing.
* An unwavering commitment to precision and the ability to work to tight tolerances.
* The ability to work independently while also thriving as part of a small, collaborative team.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the creativity to find solutions for unique and complex designs.
* A solid understanding of health & safety in a workshop and on-site.
We'd Be Especially Impressed If You Have:
* A formal qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) in Bench Joinery.
* Proficiency in advanced finishing techniques (e.g., spraying, staining, polishing).
* A strong knowledge of both modern and traditional joinery methods.
