Multi-Skilled Engineer A growing manufacturing site is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong electrical background to join their engineering department. This is a hands-on role supporting factory operations, keeping production running smoothly and safely. What You’ll Be Doing * Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across a range of plant and machinery. * Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns, both in and out of hours, minimising downtime for the business. * Overseeing external contractors to ensure work is completed safely, to spec, on time, and within agreed costs. * Ensuring all equipment is maintained in line with relevant legislation and technical standards. * Supporting the development and roll-out of Health & Safety procedures and promoting safe working practices across the team. * Communicating confidently with colleagues at every level and staying calm under pressure. * Working as part of a close-knit team focused on delivering results together. What You’ll Need * Strong flexibility, reliability, and self-motivation. * Solid background in electrical maintenance, including installation, fault-finding, repair, continuous improvement, and preventative maintenance. * Experience within food production or manufacturing (advantageous but not essential). * Recognised electrical engineering qualification (desirable). Hours & Pay * Full-time role (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday. * Shift pattern: 6am–2pm or 7am–3pm. * Hourly rate: £18.03 * Disturbance/on-call allowance: £200 per week after probation/when competent. * On-call rotation: 2 weeks in every 6, plus £75 per call-out. * Weekend work as required, paid at overtime rate (1.5x).
