We’re looking for PMO Manager to join our team in Bradford or Leeds on a permanent basis. This hybrid role offers flexibility, with two days in the office and three days working remotely.
In this role, you will use your expertise to drive structured change initiatives and build a centralised project management practice, ensuring consistent processes and standards across the organisation.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong sense of ownership, exceptional attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. The Engineering & Platform team delivers both internal and external technical products while supporting our Google Cloud platform. This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused role that bridges leadership and engineering—translating strategy into actionable plans and identifying risks early.
Success in this role requires close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, including project managers, developers, business analysts, commercial teams, senior leadership, and external customers.
What will you be doing?
1. Lead and maintain the technology delivery portfolio across products, platforms, and change initiatives.
2. Support prioritisation decisions by assessing value, risk, dependencies, and team capacity.
3. Provide a clear, unified view of all active work and upcoming initiatives.
4. Monitor delivery spend and forecast against approved budgets, including significant third‑party resource spend.
5. Support capacity planning across engineering teams and partner organisations.
6. Deliver accurate data and insights to inform investment decisions and trade‑offs.
7. Facilitate demand review forums to coordinate pipeline activity and in‑flight projects across partner teams.
8. Own and maintain project templates, forms, and checklists, ensuring consistency with project standards.
9. Manage the full demand lifecycle, including control gates, prioritisation, and work‑request intake.
10. Support the management and processing of third‑party costs and commercial agreements.
We tend to look for people with:
11. Proven experience working within a Project Management Office, supporting projects and prioritisation activities.
12. Proven background in a similar role (Project Manager or Project Support) within IT or Business Transformation.
13. Excellent communication skills with strong stakeholder engagement capabilities.
14. Track record of managing relationships in a multi-disciplinary environment.
15. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (intermediate to advanced), plus experience with Microsoft Project or other project management tools.
16. Familiarity with data reporting tools and associated methodologies.
17. Strong facilitation skills for meetings and workshops, with an action-oriented approach.
18. Professional certifications such as PRINCE2, MSP, or equivalent.
What’s in it for you?
19. Competitive salary
20. 25 days annual leave with the option to purchase 5 more.
21. Enjoy your birthday off, plus receive an additional 3 days of annual leave once you reach 5 years of service.
22. Access to wellbeing and mental health benefits such as the Calm app, personal medical, critical illness cover and dental insurance, plus many more.
23. Matched pension contribution up to 10%
24. Access to our car benefit scheme
25. Access to our online learning platform to continue to develop and grow your career with us
26. The chance to join an innovative, fast-paced and passionate team
