We use fresh ideas and leading‑edge tech to build and maintain digital solutions that will be used by nearly every person in the UK, every day and at key moments in their lives. Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* Strong knowledge of QA and test methodologies, automation frameworks and tools, with hands‑on experience embedding quality early in the development lifecycle.
* Ability to manage and mentor QA and test teams, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
* Expertise in integrating Commercial Off‑The‑Shelf (COTS) solutions and ensuring compliance with organisational standards.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with experience influencing governance boards and cross‑functional teams.
* Up‑to‑date understanding of QA best practices, emerging technologies and regulatory requirements and standards.
* Proven experience in leading test and quality assurance strategies across complex digital services within large scale organisations.
You and Your Role
We’re looking for someone to take the lead in shaping how we test and assure quality for Digital Payment Services. You’ll make sure quality is built in from the start, whether we’re creating solutions in‑house or working with top industry providers. You’ll set high standards, improve test frameworks and automation so we can deliver faster without losing quality, mentor talented QA engineers and be the go‑to expert on testing and compliance. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure everything integrates smoothly and is fully tested. You’ll also track performance, manage defects and bring fresh ideas and new technology to keep us ahead of the game.

Pay: Competitive pay up to £90,267.
Pension: Civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, over £21,000 per year.
