The starting salary for this full-time, permanent position is £36,873 per annum based on a 36 hour working week.
We are excited to be hiring a new Finance Analyst join our fantastic Corporate Finance Service, supporting the Children's, Families and Lifelong Learning (CFLL) directorate. This is a hybrid role, with a requirement to be office based at least 40% of your working week to enable face to face collaboration with team colleagues. This could include working from our various offices: Woodhatch Place in Reigate, Victoria Gate in Woking or Dakota in Weybridge.

About the Role
We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join our friendly team who deliver a variety of finance and budget monitoring tasks. These include variance analysis and other finance support tasks, whilst working closely with colleagues in the Social Care and Commissioning Teams in the CFLL Directorate, providing a high-quality finance support service. We work in partnership with the service and other Corporate colleagues, to ensure value for money in service delivery, with the aim that no child is left behind in Surrey.
This is a varied and interesting role, and on a day-to-day basis you can expect to be involved in the following:
10. Maintaining Excel workbooks to support budget monitoring
11. Performing monthly reconciliations between workbooks and secondary systems to MySurrey
12. Transactional processing, including journals and virements
13. Supporting the preparation of financial reports for budget holders
Shortlisting Criteria

14. You hold or are actively studying for AAT, or equivalent qualification
15. Good knowledge of Excel
16. Ability to manage your time effectively and work to tight deadlines
17. A keen eye for detail with an analytical and proactive approach
18. Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills
