The starting salary for this position is £36,873 per annum, working 36 hours per week.

Two exciting opportunities have arisen within the Finance service, supporting the Children's, Families and Lifelong Learning (CFLL) Directorate. One post will be working closely with colleagues in the Social Care and Commissioning Teams and the other role will be working with colleagues in the Inclusion and Additional Needs Teams, in the CFLL Directorate, providing a high-quality finance support service.

About the Role

As a Finance Analyst, you will be part of a team delivering a variety of finance and budget monitoring tasks, these include variance analysis and other finance support tasks. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise will directly contribute to efficient financial operations and organisational success.

You will join a friendly and collaborative team where your skills make a real difference. A strong knowledge of Excel will enable you to manage and analyse data effectively, while your ability to work to tight deadlines ensures accuracy under pressure. Your keen eye for detail, combined with an analytical and proactive approach, will help you identify trends and resolve issues efficiently. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with colleagues across the Directorate and building positive relationships at all levels.

Your Application

In order to be considered for shortlisting, your application will clearly evidence the following skills and align with our :

10. hold or be studying for a recognised accounting qualification at AAT level or equivalent
11. Excellent IT skills, including an intermediate level of Excel
12. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to build sound relationships with customers.
13. High level of organisational and analytical skills
14. Practical experience of providing financial insight to support decision-making.
