Our client, one of the largest financial institutions headquartered in Japan, is searching for a dynamic and experienced Procurement Category Manager at the VP level to join their Operations Planning Department. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team within a prestigious organisation! What You’ll Do: As the Procurement Category Manager VP, you’ll play a pivotal role in executing procurement tasks for a large-scale project across the EMEA region. You will be responsible for: Strategic Partnership: Act as a procurement business partner, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and strategic suppliers. Savings Delivery: Identify and execute savings opportunities, ensuring compliance with policies and driving incremental savings through collaboration with external service providers. Tender Management: Lead and manage tender processes, ensuring successful outcomes that align with business needs. Contract Negotiation: Develop and lead negotiations, working closely with the Legal Department to finalise contracts effectively. Performance Reporting: Ensure accurate reporting on category performance and project data, including savings, milestones, and compliance. What You’ll Need: To thrive in this role, you should possess: Expertise in Professional Services: In-depth knowledge and experience within the Professional Service Category, particularly in the banking industry. Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in delivering savings and managing procurement processes effectively. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with critical thinking skills to translate data into actionable insights. Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional communication skills with a knack for building productive relationships. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, including data analysis using pivots and V-Lookups, and experience with Coupa technology is a plus. Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles related to budgeting and cost management. Why Join Us?
