We are currently recruiting for a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children in EYFS through to Year 2 who require additional learning support.
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: WA2, Warrington
Start Date: Immediate
Pay: £83.40 – £100.00 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing
Role Overview:
Deliver focused 1:1 and small group support to children with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, speech and language challenges, and emotional/behavioural needs
Collaborate closely with the classroom teacher and SENCO to put IEPs into practice
Help pupils engage with the curriculum, build independence, and develop their self-esteem
Foster a nurturing and structured classroom environment
Employ positive behaviour support techniques to encourage constructive interactions
Track and document student progress and wellbeing
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Has prior experience supporting children with SEN in either educational or care-based settings
Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. in education, childcare, or health and social care) – desirable but not essential
Demonstrates empathy, flexibility, and commitment when working with young learners
Is an effective communicator and a strong team player
Holds an enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or is willing to apply for one through Smile Education
