Thomas May is looking to recruit an experienced Workshop Manager to join its specialist team of cabinet and fine furniture makers in Leeming Bar, North Yorkshire.
Your Responsibilities:
* Ensure delivery of projects in a timely manner as per workshop schedule. Liaising with office to ensure constant feedback loop regarding schedule.
* Dealing with production issues and taking a pragmatic approach and ownership of day-to-day challenges.
* Day-to-day management and ownership of the production environment, leading staff across machining, assembly and finishing processes.
* To ensure high quality standards and processes are continued and developed.
* Taking responsibility for Health & Safety compliance in the factory.
* Managing inventory levels of parts and supplies, ensuring availability for scheduled work.
* Maintaining workshop tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and compliant with safety regulations.

Leader - to deal with staffing issues and ensure work is conducted effectively, blockers are removed promptly, even if it means taking an assertive approach when necessary.
