AI Engineer (ChatGPT enterprise) - Central London - £650 p/d outside IR35
A leading Asset Management & Investment firm is seeking a highly technical AI Engineer for a 6-month contract to drive cutting-edge automation across internal operations. You will play a pivotal role in transforming how the organisation manages staff performance, operational workflows, and manual decision-making.
Your mission: take human-heavy processes and turn them into efficient, scalable, AI-powered systems, using ChatGPT Enterprise as the core engine.
This is an opportunity to own end-to-end AI automation delivery as the first member of their AI & Data team.
What You'll Do
* Analyse internal processes related to staff performance management, operational tracking, and business workflows.
* Design, build, and deploy AI-driven automations that streamline manual tasks and remove human bottlenecks.
* Develop internal tools and copilots using ChatGPT Enterprise to enhance productivity, improve reporting, and enable self-service across teams.
* Implement retrieval-based workflows, prompt-engineering best practices, and automated decision trees that support management processes.
* Build integrations with existing systems (HR systems, CRMs, workflow tools, document repositories, etc).
Key Skills & Experience
* Strong background in AI Engineering, automation engineering, ML/LLM application development, or intelligent workflow design.
* Expert hands-on experience with ChatGPT Enterprise (mandatory).
* Ability to design prompts, guardrails, and workflows that ensure reliable and repeatable outcomes.
* Experience automating human-centric processes such as approvals, performance reviews, document generation, or analytics workflows.
* Familiarity with APIs, integration frameworks, RAG-style workflows, vector search, or orchestration tools (nice to have).
