Kernow Vets are seeking a confident Farm Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, supportive team. We work closely with the local farming community, delivering practical, sustainable care that supports livestock health and the long-term success of our clients’ businesses, where strong relationships matter as much as clinical skill.
The role offers a varied caseload including TB testing, routine and preventative work, herd health planning, emergency care, dispensary tasks and regular client contact, with artificial insemination, mainly cattle, also included.
You’ll work with a diverse client base, from smallholdings to larger beef, sheep and mixed farms.
This is primarily an ambulatory position, so a full driving licence is required. You’ll be fully equipped with a vehicle, mobile and laptop, with access to practice facilities when needed.

You’ll be part of an experienced farm team of vets, supported by a dedicated TB testing team, ACA, vet tech and client care colleagues, all working collaboratively in an open, supportive environment where work‑life balance is respected and time off in lieu helps keep workloads fair.
As a Farm Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding livestock caseload.
You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice.
