The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and Mechanical Shift Maintenance Technicians.
The main responsibilities include:
* Overseeing all mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety and compliance with site and industry regulations, including ISO standards and cGMP.
* Driving safety standards throughout the Maintenance team to operate as a top-tier COMAH Site.
* Collaborating with operations to meet customer quality requirements.
* Taking full responsibility for Mechanical Maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed safely and promptly.
* Working with Planning & Scheduling and Site Engineers to improve plant reliability.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental standards during all work activities.
* Manage the Mechanical Maintenance team, including work allocation, reviewing work packs, and ensuring RAMS are adequate.
* Track work progress and ensure timely completion and documentation in the CMMS.
* Handle personnel matters such as timekeeping, holidays, and disciplinary issues.
* Develop job packs, RAMS, and schedules in collaboration with the Maintenance Planner.
* Participate in Root Cause Analyses and follow-up actions to improve equipment performance.
* Provide first-line problem solving for mechanical faults and work delivery issues.
* Contribute to continuous improvement activities, including raising and executing PMs.
SHEQ Responsibilities:
* Ensure environmental, health, and safety requirements are met.
* Promote a positive safety culture.
* Ensure work adheres to safety guidelines and quality standards, reducing downtime and enhancing equipment performance.
* Report accidents, near misses, and safety improvements.
Equipment Management:
* Ensure timely completion of PMs, compliance, and regulatory work orders.
* Supervise Maintenance Mechanical Technicians, assigning priority work.
* Coordinate with OEM contractors for inspections and future PM planning.
