Our client is a regional civil and structural consulting practice with a high level of technical expertise and an excellent reputation. They have a growing workload that encompasses new office and commercial schemes, historic restoration, residential and refurbishment projects. In addition, they carry out inspection and survey assignments on buildings and civil engineering assets. This is an opportunity for a structural engineer to lead your own projects with the support of senior engineers and management, gaining experience across a broad range of work and involvement in the full design and delivery process. Alongside design work, you will undertake forensic building defect surveys and produce clear, technically robust reports. Your Profile : You must be a chartered or incorporated civil (MICE) or structural (IStructE) engineer. You will have a solid grounding in structural design, including experience with steel and concrete, and be comfortable managing your own workload while collaborating effectively with senior staff. Familiarity with CAD and industry‑standard analysis and design software is expected. Strong written communication skills are essential, particularly for defect reporting and client‑facing documentation. You should bring the interpersonal confidence needed to work well with clients, contractors and colleagues. Location: Our client’s offices are in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Their location provides the opportunity for a high quality of life with access to amenities and transport links.
