An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Paediatric Critical Care Unit at Sheffield Children's as a Data Inputting Clerk. PCCU provides care for children aged 0-16 (and occasionally up to 18) requiring acute, chronic, or critical care. You'll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering seamless, holistic care.
Responsibilities
* Input clinical and non-clinical data accurately and efficiently
* Maintain PCCU databases
* Support audit, research, and commissioning processes
* Communicate with clinical and management teams
* Uphold confidentiality and data protection standards
What we’re looking for
* Compassionate, accountable, and respectful
* IT literate with accurate keyboard skills
* Experienced in data inputting and familiar with medical terminology
* Professional when handling confidential information
Qualifications and Experience
* Essential: Computer literacy with accurate keyboard skills
* Essential: Experience of data inputting
* Essential: Working in a confidential environment
* Knowledge: Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomical and physiological terms
* Skills: Methodical working procedures; Effective organisational skills; Good communication skills
* Personal Attributes: Ability work flexibly to meet audit data inputting
Desirable: European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL); Previous hospital based Medical Records experience and working in the National Health Service; Knowledge of Patient Administration System
