Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and development: Creating detailed mechanical designs for components, machines, and systems using CAD software (Solidworks), considering factors like functionality, cost, and safety standards.
2. Prototyping and testing: Carrying out physical tests on new or competing products in cutting, grinding, and drilling.
3. Technical Direction: Setting technical standards, developing new products, making critical technical decisions, and ensuring projects align with best practices.
4. Project Management: Overseeing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, identifying potential risks, and managing project scope. Working closely with other departments like product management, design, and QA to ensure smooth project execution.
5. Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving complex technical challenges, leading troubleshooting efforts, and proposing innovative solutions.
6. Quality Assurance: Implementing quality control measures, reviewing code, and ensuring adherence to engineering standards.
7. Documentation: Creating and maintaining clear and concise technical documentation, including design documents, system specifications, and user guides.
Required Skills:
1. Strong Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of relevant engineering principles, technologies, and tools within their field.
2. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
3. Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical thinking and ability to approach complex problems with a structured approach.
4. Project Management Skills: Understanding of project management methodologies and ability to manage project timelines and budgets. Staying updated with emerging technologies and adapting to changing project requirements.
