Looking for a reliable and hardworking individual with a passion for keeping things spotless? We’re seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team and ensure our kitchen runs like a well-oiled machine.
Responsibilities
* Wash and clean dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment, ensuring everything is spotless.
* Keep all kitchen areas clean and tidy, sweeping and mopping floors, and managing trash and recycling.
* Assist with basic food preparation, like peeling and chopping vegetables, to support chefs.
* Receive and store deliveries of food and supplies, keeping everything organized.
* Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times, ensuring a safe and compliant kitchen.
* Help set up and close down the kitchen, clean cooking equipment and work surfaces, and work collaboratively with the kitchen team.
* Report any maintenance or health and safety issues to the relevant person, ensuring smooth operations.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role.
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
* Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
* Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings.
