Technical Support Specialist - Point of Care Devices Location: Office-based (Nuneaton) Hours: Monday–Thursday 09:00–17:00, Friday 09:00–16:00 Salary: Competitive basic bonus Start Date: ASAP Sector: Medical Devices / Diagnostics The Role We’re seeking a Technical Support Specialist with a background in biomedical science, healthcare, or a related field to join a quality-focused technical team. While the position is based in a lab-like environment, it is primarily administrative and focused on device auditing, technical troubleshooting, and quality assurance rather than traditional lab work. You will play a key role in supporting healthcare clients, maintaining product standards, and assisting with regulatory audit preparation. Full product training will be provided. Key Responsibilities Assist in the day-to-day operation of a quality control function, including internal and external quality controls. Provide technical support to healthcare customers via a ticketing system, phone, and MS Teams. Deliver both online and in-person training sessions on medical devices to clients. Carry out technical testing and quality assurance checks on diagnostic devices. Prepare technical documentation including SOPs, guides, reports, and presentations. Support audit readiness and compliance with relevant quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 13485). Collaborate with internal teams to drive improvements and share insights. What We’re Looking For Degree or experience in biomedical science, healthcare, or a technical medical field. Experience with medical devices, diagnostics, or technical customer support is preferred. Comfortable in a structured, administrative environment with strong attention to detail. Clear communicator able to explain technical concepts to healthcare professionals. Competent using Microsoft Office; knowledge of ticketing systems such as SAP is a plus. Understanding of quality systems such as ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 is desirable but not essential.
