Job Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Social Worker to join a Community Review Team based in the beautiful region of Lothian. This role is initially offered for 12 weeks, with a strong likelihood of extension, giving you the chance to make a meaningful impact through direct payment reviews under Option 1 Self-Directed Support.
You will be primarily based at John Muir House, Haddington, with a flexible blend of office and home working. As the role involves travel across East Lothian, a full UK driving licence is essential.

What you will do
* Undertake comprehensive reviews for individuals receiving Option 1 Self-Directed Support direct payments
* Assess care arrangements, ensuring support remains appropriate, effective, and outcome-focused
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver high-quality review outcomes
* Produce clear, accurate documentation, including recommendations for changes or improvements to support
* Communicate effectively with service users, carers, and partner agencies
* Apply legislation and best practice, maintaining professional and statutory standards
