The Running Account Manager will join our Running Specialist Team with a growing business, working with exciting industry-leading products to deliver market-leading standards and ensure an enhanced customer experience.
The Role
The Running Account Manager will manage the fulfillment of Specialist Sports commitments to wholesale trade accounts & other partners. The role will involve:
* Managing a targeted list of Running customers, maximizing commercial revenue from B2B and B2C channels by ensuring timely dispatch, on-time-in-full (OTIF), and managing day-to-day queries.
* Working with a northern UK account base.
* Growing the Running categories through new and existing customers, including proactively developing existing accounts and finding new business opportunities.
* Providing input to the Category Manager to accurately forecast and control inventory for Running categories and related products.
* Supporting Specialist Sports & retail partners' event/expo activities.
* Collaborating with brand coaches to deliver product technical training, promotional activations, and supporting retailers with up-to-date technical content.
* Managing and developing the Running customer order book to ensure timely fulfillment of requirements.
* Managing the Running database of wholesale & B2B customers, ensuring contacts and key engagement dates are accurate and met.
* Creating appropriate sell-in tools in multimedia formats for the Running categories and maintaining the Specialist Sports website with correct product images, information, marketing materials, and resources.
* Assisting with general sales inquiries via all media, working with the customer fulfillment team to ensure prompt order delivery.
* Performing other ad-hoc duties as delegated by the Category Manager, Sales and Marketing Director, or their designate.
The ideal candidate should have relevant trade experience and qualifications, an enthusiastic professional approach, and a personal affinity with sports, particularly running. The role will be primarily field-based with frequent travel to our Southampton office. Specialist Sports offers flexible working hours with core hours, but working hours may vary depending on role requirements.
The candidate should be able to identify the needs of both new and current customers to support their success using our products. Effective communication with clients and internal teams is essential to understand and mitigate customer issues.
