Role: Support Worker with Activities
Location of role: Margaret Roper House & Ainsdale Community
Rate of Pay: £25,621.60 per annum, pro-rata (£12.60 per hour)
Role Description:
We are currently recruiting experienced support workers for Margaret Roper House in Southport, which provides residential support and care in a homely environment for adults with mental and physical health challenges. We offer excellent care in pleasant surroundings, promoting privacy and independence.
Margaret Roper House and Ainsdale Care in the Community, part of Nugent, deliver compassionate support and quality care to vulnerable adults with long-term mental health conditions. Our mission is to empower individuals by fostering an inclusive, supportive environment that respects their dignity and rights. The Support Worker with Activities will work across all Ainsdale sites, organizing tailored daily activities and providing emotional and physical support to residents. They will help residents transition towards independent living with appropriate support.
Experience:
* Effective communication and organizational skills are essential, with a valid driving license preferred for operating the home's transport.
* Relevant experience working with vulnerable adults, a basic understanding of care standards, and a commitment to completing the Care Certificate within 12 weeks are desirable.
* Personal qualities such as compassion, empathy, reliability, and a commitment to ongoing training are vital.
* The candidate must respect residents' dignity and individuality, fostering a warm and supportive environment aligned with Nugent's values of integrity, compassion, and respect.
* The role involves working on a rolling rota basis, including weekends.
