JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
A Research Coordinator position is available immediately at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in the Robotics Engineering and Biomedical Engineering Department working with Professor Zhang. This position will support research in studying the integration of medical ultrasound imaging and robotics for diagnostics and image-guided intervention. We are interested in to develop a novel robot-assisted platform that facilitates adaptive ultrasound imaging and improves clinical workflow.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Applicants are expected to have an earned master degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, computer science, or a closely related field. Prior working experience in deep learning on medical ultrasound imaging is required. Expertise with signal processing and data analysis with programming on ultrasound data are essential. We are looking for individuals who value innovation, creativity, diversity, inclusion, and collaboration.
This position will involve working with a team of world-class robotics and biomedical researchers especially in the field of medical robotics and imaging. The Research Coordinator will be expected to participate in preparing research articles, presenting research findings at conference meetings, and contributing to grants. Therefore, excellent writing and communication skills are important.
