Lead engineering excellence across products that protect revenue today while creating a stronger, more resilient foundation for critical business operations and future modernization.
The Director is responsible for leading multiple software development departments delivering business-critical BB integration solutions. The role combines people leadership, technical governance, and strategic alignment across a distributed, global organization.
The Director ensures teams operate efficiently, follow defined processes and standards, and deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions aligned with the company’s business objectives.
We are looking for a leader that has led transformational efforts, created and delivered technical roadmaps, and creates engineering excellence. This leader plays a key role in protecting and generating revenue by ensuring our products meet the needs of our large and diverse customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Strategy
1. Partner with Product, QA, and Architecture teams to define the roadmap, prioritizing high-value initiatives and platform enhancements.
2. Drive the adoption of automation, CI/CD pipelines, and other tools to increase development velocity and reliability.
3. Define and continuously improve software development processes, methodologies, and SDLC best practices.
4. Establish and enforce release criteria, automated testing goals, and quality benchmarks across teams.
5. Ensure that development processes comply with regulatory and audit requirements, including ISAE.
Team Leadership
6. Manage leaders and broader team across multiple locations (primarily Europe, Vietnam, China, and US).
7. Lead four departments consisting of architects, developers, QA engineers, database specialists, and monitoring teams.
8. Define individual goals, follow up on performance, and conduct regular evaluations.
9. Drive employee engagement, motivation, and retention across geographically distributed teams.
10. Promote continuous learning by initiating cross training and identifying ways for the team to grow their skills and experiences.
Organizational Alignment & Collaboration
11. Ensure strong alignment between development teams and key stakeholders, including; Product, Services + Support, Tech Ops and Sales
12. Act as a key interface between business and engineering to ensure delivery meets business expectations.
13. Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and organizational improvements.
Technical Leadership & Architecture Oversight
14. Responsible for architecture, design, and security across a portfolio of multiple software products (approx. + systems within BB supply chain integration).
15. Promote innovation in architecture, automation, and development practices to improve scalability, reliability, and user experience.
Delivery & Execution
16. Ensure that teams deliver according to agreed goals, roadmaps, and priorities.
17. Monitor performance and capacity across teams and initiate improvements where needed.
18. Drive execution excellence, ensuring that delivery is not only stable but continuously improving (moving beyond “BAU” mindset where relevant).
19. Drive routines and commitments through leaders for daily standups and sprint planning to ensure roadmap alignment and timely resolution of high-priority issues.
20. Demonstrate proficiency and curiosity in using AI-enabled engineering tools to enhance productivity, code quality, and problem-solving, while adhering to secure coding standards and engineering best practices.
Requirements for Success:
21. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
22. + years of software engineering experience, with at least years in engineering leadership, including leading global teams
23. Proven success leading teams delivering SaaS or enterprise BB products
24. Expertise in development frameworks and languages (Java, C, .NET,, Python, or similar)
25. Demonstrated experience improving team velocity, scaling agile processes, and optimizing engineering workflows
26. Experience owning release trains on live, customer-facing platforms with zero-disruption requirements
27. Solid understanding of software architecture, development processes, and system design
28. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
29. Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution
30. Experience with governance, compliance, and audit-driven development processes
31. Continuous improvement mindset with focus on quality and efficiency
32. Evidence of building strong engineering culture rooted in autonomy, accountability, and technical excellence and KPIs
33. Experience with integration platforms specifically Supply Chain preferred
