A South London local authority is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Disrepair Case Officer to join its housing team. This is a key role focused on reducing the risk and cost of housing disrepair while ensuring excellent outcomes for residents and the Council. You will be responsible for managing disrepair cases from initial complaint through to resolution, with the aim of avoiding litigation wherever possible. This includes investigating claims, coordinating repairs, and working closely with surveyors, contractors, and legal services to ensure cases are handled efficiently and in line with statutory requirements. The successful candidate will monitor case progress, track associated costs, and provide regular updates on high-risk cases.
