Repairs Inspector – Central London Housing Association
Salary: £190 PAYE / £225 Umbrella LTD (Inside IR35)
Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract: 3–6 month contract
We are recruiting a Repairs Inspector on behalf of a Central London Housing Association. This role ensures that responsive repairs meet quality standards and that contractors are delivering in line with KPIs. You will play a key role in diagnosing works, carrying out inspections, and maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical diagnosis and prepare clear repair reports and specifications.
* Carry out pre, post, and quality inspections of repair works.
* Manage contractor performance and ensure compliance with Health & Safety obligations.
* Oversee repair variations and escalate concerns to contract management teams.
* Support stock condition surveys and contribute to monitoring and audit processes.
* Act as a resident champion, ensuring issues are resolved effectively and promptly.
Requirements
* Experience in repairs inspection, quality audits, and contractor management.
* Strong technical knowledge of repairs and ability to write reports/specifications.
* Good understanding of housing legislation, statutory and regulatory compliance.
* DEA/FRA assessor trained or HND qualification (desirable).
* Strong IT and communication skills.
