The Education Network Leeds is currently recruiting dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants to work in specialist provisions and inclusive mainstream schools across the city.
Role and Responsibilities:
Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups with SEMH needs.
Help manage challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies.
Build trusting relationships to support emotional regulation and engagement.
Assist teachers with tailored lesson plans and classroom activities.
Encourage a safe, supportive learning environment.Requirements:
Experience working with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or vulnerable young people (in education, care, or youth settings).
Calm, resilient and compassionate approach to behaviour management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A valid, enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply).
Relevant training (e.g. Team Teach) is a bonus – but not essential.What We Offer:
