The Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
This is an exciting and critical opportunity for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a dynamic secondary academy in Bradford. This permanent role is focused on supporting and leading learning for students, particularly those with SEMH and behavioural needs.

* HLTA status or equivalent experience in an educational setting.
* A passion for working with young people who need extra support.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness for one)

What Youll Do
* Deliver engaging lessons and interventions for students with SEMH and behavioural needs.
* Support teachers in creating personalised learning experiences that spark curiosity and progress.
* Build strong, positive relationships that help students feel safe, valued, and motivated.
* Work with colleagues and external partners to ensure every child gets the support they deserve.
* Live out the academys ethos and 9 Habits, promoting inclusion, respect, and resilience every day.
* Plan and prepare learning materials and resources under the direction of the class teacher.
* Assess, monitor, and record students progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Supervise and manage classroom behaviour effectively, implementing the schools policy.
* Support the emotional and social development of students, acting as a key mentor.
* Lead small group and 1:1 sessions focusing on core subjects or specific social skills.
